Sanjeet Sanghera is a senior energy leader with more than 15 years of experience steering system-wide transformation across operations, policy, and strategic foresight. He leads Strategic Futures at the National Energy System Operator (NESO), where he shapes the UK’s long-term energy vision through whole-system analysis, horizon scanning, and high-impact insight development. His work guides senior decision-makers on the strategic choices needed to deliver a secure, affordable, and sustainable energy system.

Before joining NESO, Sanjeet led the Grids & Utilities practice at BloombergNEF, where he directed global research on system flexibility, grid modernisation, and regulatory reform. He advised utilities, manufacturers, governments, and financial institutions worldwide, and contributed to flagship publications shaping industry understanding of the net-zero transition. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge in addition to an electrical engineering degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
