Mark Wilson, CEO of ILI Group, has over 21 years of experience across multiple sectors, including more than 15 years in renewable energy.

Under his leadership, ILI Group has built an industry-leading 4.1 GW portfolio of energy storage projects, making it the UK’s foremost developer in this field. The company has been pivotal in shaping the UK energy storage market, delivering 450 MW of ready-to-build battery projects to Engie, Gore Street Capital, EDP, Foresight, and others, and completing the landmark sale of its 450 MW pumped storage hydro project at Loch Ness to Statkraft, one of Europe’s largest renewable power generators.

In 2025, Mark announced The Stoics – a £15 billion Green Digital Network of three hyperscale data centres across Scotland’s central belt: Cato 600MW (Fife), Rufus 540MW (East Ayrshire), and Aurelius 400MW (North Lanarkshire).

With a clear strategic vision and proven delivery record, Mark continues to lead ILI Group’s growth across the energy and digital sectors.
