Gary Watson was the Country Manager for a decade at Keppel Data Centres REIT in Ireland, where he led one of Europe’s most forward-thinking and sustainability-driven digital infrastructure portfolios. With more than 30 years’ experience across telecommunications, data centres, managed services, and cloud operations throughout Europe, Gary has earned a reputation as a pragmatic, action-oriented leader who believes “there’s been enough talk, real change only comes through doing.”

Under his leadership, Keppel DC REIT Ireland has delivered Ireland’s first colocation data-centre renewable Power Purchase Agreement, achieved LEED O&M Gold certification through live-site retrofits, and advanced AI-driven cooling strategies to reduce energy intensity. The company is now moving five years ahead of the industry curve, targeting hourly renewable-power matching and providing full transparency of renewable energy use through client-accessible software tools.

A regular industry voice, Gary has spoken at numerous international events. He also serves on the Executive Council of Digital Infrastructure Ireland, helping to shape national strategy around data, energy, and sustainability.
